Privacy notice

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. The site has no user accounts, no comment system, no newsletter and no contact form. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply; we do not add you to any list. Searching for a destination happens entirely within your browser; your search terms are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Cookies and tracking

The site does not set cookies, and it does not use advertising or social-media tracking scripts. Fonts are served from the same place as the pages.

We count visits with a small first-party script that runs on our web host's network. After you first scroll, tap or move the pointer, it sends the page address, the page you came from (if your browser shares it) and the standard technical information any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and the counts are not shared with anyone.

Pages that list guided tours show tour photos supplied by Viator. These photos load directly from the partner's image servers (for Viator, operated by Tripadvisor), which receive the standard technical information any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type; we do not send them anything else and our pages set no cookies. If you click a tour link, you go to their website, which may set its own cookies to record that you arrived from us; that is how we can earn a commission if you book. Their privacy policies apply once you are on their site.

If we change how visits are counted, this notice will be updated first.

Hosting

Like every website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider whose servers automatically record technical information about requests, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, in standard server logs used for security and reliability. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.

Links to other websites

Guides link to sources such as official tourism bodies, transport operators and reference sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Tour links to booking partners are marked on each page with an advertising disclosure.

Your rights

Apart from emails you choose to send us, we do not hold personal data about visitors. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have any question about this notice, email info@walkingtourfinder.com.

We will update this page whenever the way the site works changes, and show the date of the latest revision at the top.
